Traps can be used to capture large quantities of feral pigs. There are many types of traps that can be used to capture them. Some can be built as described in the link below. Usually there is some sort of bait inside the trap that will lure the feral pigs into the trap to be captured. There are box, cage and corral traps that function the same but are built with different pros and cons.

These traps can be more effective then hunting if used properly. People may tend to use these traps to gather a large quantity of pigs and transport them elsewhere to spread the abundant game. There may be more traps, but these three are the common ones available.
Bait will have to be handled in these traps to attract the feral pig. Pigs often have varying tastes that are different from feral pigs of other areas. Grain or carrion can be used, although carrion is more found to be more popular during cool seasons rather than warm ones. Usually baits that have sweet and strong scent will attract the pigs to it. Pre-baiting is when pigs are attracted to the trap on multiple occasions where they feel comfortable being there. This method, combined with the traps can lure a large amount of pigs into a trap.
